March Roundup

Well this month has been pretty poor no cash finshes and even the Virgin Festival last chance escaped my fingers, just can't play the right cards at the right time.
Unfortunately it goes like this, we all I feel have our ups and downs, well I'm on my downs.

Look forward to things changing, you'll know when they do.

I'll be in Newcastle in a couple of weeks time to suppport my so who is 9in the main event, I'll be found somewhere on a side table, we'll see how things go.

Sky WSOP final June, along with one final seat in the WPC also in April, so let's see what the month brings.

Sky WSOP Open semi final 12/03/08

After having a poor game in the Pokeplayer WPC on 888, dead cards and probably some poor play by me, I noticed that there was 3 minutes left to enter the Sky WSOP semi for £12, with a 140+ players I thought I'd give it a go, don't really gel with Sky far too many bad beats and weird card falls for me, but as I still had money in their account, I thought why not?

First cards seen were AA, here we go double up or out, with low blinds I limped in to a flop that produced 9 high and 3 suits. Early position bet in 300 so on my turn I pushed all in, was called and doubled up.

For next few hands could do no wrong catching loads of power cards and taking down most of the blinds and calls when they occurred, within the first half hour I had quadrupled up and then changed tables.

For the middle part of the tournament I just maintained my chips with a very slow increase, approaching the bubble I was coming under pressure from the high blinds and being card dead at the same time did not help.

Into last 17, with 13 seats going I was sitting 9th, picked up a couple of hands to increase my stack moving to 8th, blinds now 1 and 2000, lower stacks came under pressure before me allowing me to make the rack in 13th place, following hand pushed with 93 off to have a break.

Happy to collect a £110.00 seat in the final in June.

Sky Poker Sun Vegas Holiday

Well I made the final, which wasn't hard with 128 places on offer.
Started well with AK suited which were busted, doubled up on a sweet QQ (my nemesis, always lose with these), running wild now accumulating chips.

Next we switch tables with a higher stack to my left, I limp with AA, for the SB to raise 550, BB calls, I push allin and SB callls me with 99

Guess what first card out is a 9, can't even win with AA, that's SKY for you.

The only reason I play SKY is my balance is good, keepp popping in the odd win here and there which sustains my account, but bloody hell it must rate as one of the worst sites.

WPC 2nd round

Well not much to say about this, had a really bad game, nothing going right, bad cards, bad calls to eventually be out.
On the up side though my good lady player kazipops, stormed into 6th and won a place into the final, good luck to her, she played well.

WPC 2008

Qualified through to one of the finals at first attempt with inside poker magazine, I will be trying my best to reach the pokerplayer final too, to increase my chances.

Finals to be held on the 15th & 16th April, just after returning from Newcastle.

Virgin Poker Festival

Well failed to get a seat, but I'll still be there with plenty to do at the side events, also hear there that if there are any non attenders a golden ticket raffle will be held for a seat or seats to the main event.

My son Steve, hopefully will be in good form at his first Poker Festival.
